COCONUT SHELL SCRUB
The raw natural material for Coconut Scrub comes from farms on the Nicobar & Andaman Islands in the Indian Ocean. Harvesting is done the old way by men climbing trees and knocking the fruit to the ground by hand. The shell is broken, the milk and flesh removed and the shells are packed and trans shipped to Tirupur in India. Broken shells are then cracked further for packing in 600kg bags for more economical shipping. After an approximate 25 day sea journey shells arrive at Felixstowe and delivered to our plant in Bury St Edmunds where we dry, sieve and mill to make Coconut Scrub.
